❓ Cardiovascular diseases are also known as CARDIOVASCULAR PATHOLOGY or heart disease. They encompass a wide range of disorders that can put your life at risk at any time, from conditions involving the heart to those involving blood vessels.

⚕️ Eliminating health risk behaviours would prevent at least 80% of cardiovascular disease and could help many people already ill.

⚕️ @University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” in Timisoara organizes within the @Medicare project an ONLINE conference to inform and educate the general population for the prevention, recognition and detection of cardiovascular pathologies, as well as the treatment and slowing down the evolution of cardiovascular diseases. We will also try to educate the population where they can go to the specialist doctors and how to reach a consultation.
✔️ The event, aimed at informing participants about cardiovascular diseases, is completely FREE and is addressed to the general population of Timiș, Caraș-Severin and Mehedinți counties.

❓ Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers in the female population.

⚕️ Within the MEDICARE project carried out by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” in Timisoara, funded by the INTERREG-IPA CBC Romania-Serbia programme, free screening was carried out among the general female population, with the aim of early detection of cervical cancer, screening carried out until 15 October 2022. Following the patients registered in the screening, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” of Timișoara organizes within the project @Medicare – “Medical Infrastructure for the Development of Excellence Surgical Services in the Cross-border Area” RORS-46, the online conference with the aim to educate the general population for prevention, control, early detection and risks of cervical cancer.

✔️ As part of the campaign we are addressing the public in Timis, Caras-Severin and Mehedinti counties by supporting an online conference aimed at informing, training and educating the general female population on the topic of cervical cancer. (The address of residence will be taken into account when filling in the registration form. For example, individuals who hold a floating visa will apply with the county listed on the floating visa).

✔️ As part of the awareness and information campaign, the general public will be able to participate in free webinars.

❓ According to international statistics, GASTRIC CANCER is the third most common cause of cancer death in the world. It has such a high mortality rate because the condition becomes difficult to treat in cases detected too late.

⚕️ Within the MEDICARE project carried out by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” in Timișoara, funded by the INTERREG-IPA CBC Romania-Serbia programme, free screening was carried out among the general population, aiming at early detection of diabetes, prostate cancer and cervical cancer screening carried out until 15 October 2022. In parallel, screening for gastric cancer and colon cancer is also being carried out, with an online form available on the MEDICARE website: http://medicare.umft.ro/ro-home-online-screening.php

Participation in the conference is free of charge.

✔️ Through this screening and early detection of gastric cancer, as well as information and training campaign, we are addressing the general population of Timis, Caras-Severin and Mehedinti counties. (The address of residence will be taken into account when filling in the registration form. For example, people who hold a floating visa will apply with the county written on the floating visa).
Through the online screening we offer we can identify people who are prone or ill with this condition.

⚕️ The University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babes” in Timisoara organizes within the @Medicare project practical workshops on FIRST AID. Participation is FREE!

✔️ The workshops are addressed to people from Timiș, Caraș-Severin and Mehedinți counties. (The address of residence will be taken into account when filling in the registration form. For example, people with a floating visa will apply with the county written on the floating visa).
The objectives of the workshops include: increasing the level of knowledge in first aid, motivating the general population in terms of attitude in emergency situations, as well as saving time and increasing the chances of rescuing victims in extreme situations.

✔️ In the workshops you will learn both theoretically and practically about:
– Basic Life Support
– Victim assessment
– Lateral safety position
– Resuscitation manoeuvres in case of cardiorespiratory arrest of adults and children
– Haemostasis – stopping bleeding
– Cervical immobilisation and fracture immobilisation
– Heimlich manoeuvre

⚕️ ABDOMINAL PATHOLOGY encompasses a wide range of both functional and surgical conditions which, over time, can present the cause of many medical and surgical complications and emergencies.

✔️ In the framework of the MEDICARE project carried out by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” in Timisoara, funded by the INTERREG-IPA CBC Romania-Serbia programme, free screening was carried out among the general population, aiming at early detection of diabetes, prostate cancer and cervical cancer screening carried out until 15 October 2022.
